Touch 'N' Go uses a fingerprint recognition device from Biometric Access Corp.
No, the Biometric Recognition device can be disabled in the setup options. All other check in and check out features will still work.
No. The Biometric device does not use an actual fingerprint. It measures distances and angles from characteristics on the fingertip, and stores them on the computer. It cannot be used to compare to to traditional fingerprints.
Yes. Setting up "Projects" in the options, allows employees to check in and out with whatever specific project they are working on.
We got a big surprise when employers reported to us that their employees liked the system because "I always check in and out properly, but I resented others cheating the system". That isn't possible with Touch 'N' Go. The other feature that employees like, is the ability to get a printout of their check in and out times at the end of the pay period.
A typical administrator, prints out and reviews the hours, and then if everything looks OK, prints out the payroll report, and either forwards it to their payroll department or their payroll service.
